This statement serves to clarify and confirm that all doors (and frames) manufactured by Spence Doors Qld do not contain any asbestos materials, whatsoever.
Fire-rated doors are manufactured using a monolithic, refractory mineral core; that is both non-toxic and innocuous when handled, cut and burnt; and framed with combustible timber materials; and faced with various timber and timber-based sheet material, or optional synthetic (laminate and veneer) products; all of which are non-asbestos in origin.
Ancillary items that can be added as supplied and fitted to fire-rated doors, such as proprietary fire-rated vision panels, fire-rated air-relief grilles, kick-plates - (stainless) steel or vinyl, door seals (including intumescent seal materials), etc; are also non-asbestos in manufacture.
Non-rated (solid core, semi-solid core, hollow core) doors are manufactured with various timber and timber- based materials; and framed with combustible timber materials; and faced with various timber and timber-based sheet materials, or optional synthetic (laminate and veneer) products; and optional acrylic edging materials; all of which are non-asbestos in origin.
Ancillary items that can be added as supplied and fitted to non-rated doors, such as Vision Panels (various types and styles for glass; beading; and framing), air-relief grilles, kick-plates - (stainless) steel or vinyl, door seals (including intumescent seal materials), etc; are also non-asbestos in manufacture.
Steel door frames (various types of steel with optional coatings) are obviously non-asbestos in origin.
Any other mediums added, such as Spence Dry-Fill (to the inside lining of parts of the frame) are also non- asbestos in origin.
Spence hardwood (or other timber type / timber-based material type) frames (which may or may not have added intumescent material); also do not contain any asbestos material incorporated.
The above clarifications are consistent for noted materials, sourced from all sub-suppliers, to Spence Doors.
