Solid Core Blockboard Doors

Flush Panel Doors with a solid blockboard core engineered for strength. Blockboard is composed from softwood strips high-pressure joined from edge-to-edge to form a solid block. The core is surrounding by a timber perimeter frame of 35mm stiles and rails. This frame is constructed from KD Hardwood or Finger Jointed Pine.

The Blockboard Advantage

Blockboard hosts a number of beneficial properties including:

• An excellent strength / weight ratio. Blockboard (and LVL) has a high strength core which minimises risk of bowing / warping as well as providing protection against impact and security risks. Typically a strong core is paired with a heavy build, however Blockboard maintains a reasonable weight relative to its strength which contributes to ease of handling and installation.
• Weight bearing construction. Blockboard (along with LVL) has the greatest capacity among core options to bear the load of additional hardware such as vision panels, ventilation grilles, and heavy skins/cladding.
